Mike’s team supports Investment Management – they have a portfolio of applications (front-office, accounting, trading, etc.), which all integrate with the data warehouse. Data feeds into and out of these systems and this person will be primarily responsible for developing the ETL (extract, transform and load) of data from the Oracle backend and data warehouse. They do not have a designated ETL development tool yet, however they are looking to go with either Informatica or ODI (Oracle Data Integrator). Ideally he is looking for someone with at least one specific ETL Development tool – he believes he can train the resource once they decide on one. In addition to complex hands on Oracle / ETL development, they also need to have strong hands on experience with Unix and Shell scripting. All of the applications are running on Unix platforms, so the developer must be able to deploy and integrate the back end of the systems with Unix. They will be making custom coded enhancements to the data warehouse and applications that integrate data to/from the data warehouse. Must haves: -At least 5 years of strong hands on experience with Oracle ETL Development -Strong understanding of ETL concepts -At least one ETL development tool (Informatica or ODI) -Ability to write complex PL/SQL stored procedures and SQL queries across all databases -Strong Unix Shell scripting experience (Perl also a nice-to have) 1. *.NET/SharePoint Developer* BHH just installed SharePoint for the users into their application environment. They are looking for a resource to help build out the portal applications. This resource needs to have background developing custom components and workflow portals in SharePoint. They also have various tools built in VB and VB.Net and this resource will be providing hands on support for these tools. They need to have a blended background of SharePoint development, VB.NET development, and some Oracle development (they must be able to write stored procedures using PL/SQL). Unix scripting is also preferred. 1. *Production/Support Developer* This resource will be part of the Maintenance/Support team in providing back-end support of the applications within Investment Management (including SharePoint). The skills needed for this role will be a mixed bag of Oracle development (PL/SQL), SQL (writing queries, scripts), Unix Scripting, VB.Net and SharePoint support. The resource will primarily be supporting the ETL work, debugging applications, and making simple fixes. They will also be helping out with the SharePoint/.NET development work.
