Title: Cisco Network Engineer posted on 2014-01-08 08:28:08 Job Description:*CISCO ENGINEER* Load-Balancing – Currently project to convert CSS to ACE. Video –From end-point through the network to the backend infrastructure. DR – Performs primary network services to support DR exercises and creates the necessary ACL blocks so that exercise traffic doesn’t route into the production network. Security – Works with remote facilities to integrate PCS segmentation with firewall isolation utilizing VRF’s. Thissolution he introduced due to the size of the PCS environments which we need to migrate to this secure environment. VPN – works with remote sites to introduce site-to-site VPN’s as well as customized Policy Based Routing (PBR’s) to reroute excess traffic to elevate WAN over utilization while investigation into increased traffic patterns can be troubleshot. Routing – Instrumental in understanding and deploying routing both external and internal (BGP and EIGRP) to Switching – Understands LAN environments and can quickly create replacement recommendations so site networks can support necessary network requirements. Network Management – Migration of WCS to Prime. Wireless – Supports Cisco central controller as well as works with remote facilities to perform spectrum analysis and prepare their network for guest, mobile, and corporate wireless access Data Center – Currently supporting the project to convert the access layer toDNS/DHCP – Infoblox. Project is initiating in 2014 for a refresh of this environment and strategy is to leverage the solution for IPAM (IP Address Management) services in the near future.
