Title: PROJECT MANAGER posted on 2014-02-20 11:52:49 Job Description: *Position: Project Manager (Applications Development) Location: Bethesda, MDDuration: Full-timeJob Description:Any work experience in media and hardcore applications development exp along with cloud based services* Key Responsibilities: Ø Lead and oversee the Community Platform, which consists of an extensive mix of client-side JS / HTML 5 frameworks and technologies and server-side Java-based servlets, web services, event handlers, queue listeners, batch jobs and other supporting components Ø Work closely with senior engineering and product management to define product vision and implementation strategy for a large and varied set of features and capabilities Ø Oversee delivery of new systems and enhancements across multiple community systems. Ø Drive continuing process improvement activities across all engineering disciplines for Community Platform teams. Ø Participate in defining technology strategy and architecture guidance to ensure current and future integration requirements are fulfilled and that standard patterns, frameworks and implementation best practices are being applied Ø Oversee production and system support for Community Teams using integrated DevOps team structure. Coordinate team response to application and system level problems during normal- and after- business operating hours Ø Perform typical personnel management duties including the selection, hire, evaluation, mentoring, assignment, discipline and/or termination of staff.
