Project Manager

Provide overall management of a program of IT work related to a specific
business area. Plan, manage, and deliver an effective and efficient program
that consists of multiple projects, ensuring that the business benefits are
achieved. This contract could potentially lead to an employee position. Deliver
the program and it's projects on-time, with quality and within budget.
Establish strategic business partnership to support and achieve business
objectives Develop and implement delivery plans, with focus on process change
and technical systems delivery in order to ensure achievement of business
objectives Manage a program or project level schedule using MS Project.
Estimate project cost, resource requirements and timelines and collaborate with
business sponsors on building Cost Benefit Analysis Track resource allocations
to anticipate areas of over allocation Capture and manage program and project
execution risks Identify and manage dependencies between programs and projects
across QBE Lead Steering Committee and facilitate decision-making with key
stakeholders to resolve issues and remove barriers to successful execution
Provide coordination and direction to the project managers leading the projects
within the program Manage external vendor relationships, holding them
accountable to contractual agreements Uphold QBE standard SDLC requirements and
governance processes. Skills and Education Bachelor's degree in business
administration, finance, economics, computer science or related field A minimum
of 8 years project management and 2 years program management experience PC or
Specialty Insurance knowledge is required Technical background with
demonstrated knowledge of insurance applications Ability to build strong
business relationships Strong analytical and negotiation skills Excellent
verbal, and written communication skills Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project
2010 Server and SharePoint.
Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. Oversees all
aspects of projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and
summarizes progress of project. Prepares reports for upper management regarding
status of project. May require a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of
experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the
field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and
judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and
directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is
expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.

systems delivery in order to ensure achievement of business objectives
. Manage a program or project level schedule using MS Project.
. Estimate project cost, resource requirements and timelines and collaborate
with business sponsors on building Cost Benefit Analysis
. Perform quality checks against all business and IT estimates, ensuring
estimates were developed using sound principles of estimation and good judgment
. Manage program spend to ensure costs are kept within budget and any variances
are reported
. Track resource allocations to anticipate areas of over allocation
. Capture and manage program and project execution risks
. Identify and manage dependencies between programs and projects across QBE
. Perform analysis and facilitate decision-making with key stakeholders to
resolve issues and remove barriers to successful execution
. Provide coordination and direction to the project managers leading the
projects within the program
. Lead the program Steering Committee and provide full program status, risks
and issues
. Manage external vendor relationships, holding them accountable to contractual
agreements
. Uphold QBE standard SDLC requirements and governance processes.
