Must have heavy experience with Wise Package Studio 6 & 7 and customization
in Scripting



*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*

·         Under broad direction, ensures the successful scripting and
automated installation of software on computers using knowledge of software
packaging, re-packaging, customization, testing, and distribution systems
and methods.

·         Perform the activities of software installation scripting,
packaging, testing, certification and distribution to computers working with
end users and various IT Departments.

·         Monitor the timely and error-free installation of applications and
software updates.

·         Performs or assists software distribution, diagnoses software
installation errors and performs corrective actions.

·         Provides basic job training and guidance on a regular basis;
performs work of same or closely allied nature.

·         Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost
containment, efficiency, profitability or operations. Consequences of error
are easily measured and can be confined.

·         Skills are typically acquired through completion of an
undergraduate degree in CS or Information Systems, certificate courses
leading to an MCSE or MCP in the current Microsoft Advanced Windows
Operating Systems including Windows XP, Windows 7, 2003, and 2008.

·         Require 4 + years of experience in Application Scripting,
Packaging/ Re-packaging, script customizations, Microsoft Installer (MSI)
technology and Application Distribution technologies which includes
experience in the use of Wise Package Studio, Install Shield tools, VB
Script, Batch script, Power Shell, and Software Distribution system
experience including MS SCCM.

·         Knowledge of 32-bit and 64-bit application packaging is required
along with strong application troubleshooting skills and knowledge of
Microsoft App-V is desirable).

·         Sound knowledge of Active Directory Services and Global Group
Policies.



*CORE RESPONSIBILITIES*

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

·         Develop custom application scripts according to Company standards
to enable the installation of software globally

·         Works to service levels to ensure compliance with business
requirements

·         Takes direction from the global scripting team

·         Work with requestors to gather requirements to ensure quality of
software delivery

·         Coordinates and performs QA and user acceptance testing of the end
product

·         Works with Asset Management to ensure software licensing
compliance



*SKILLS*

·         Technical/Functional Expertise: Demonstrating broad, in-depth, and
up-to-date knowledge in the area of Scripting and Packaging with 4+ years of
experience in Application Scripting, Packaging/ Re-packaging, script
customizations, Microsoft Installer (MSI) technology and Application
Distribution technologies which includes experience in the use of Wise
Package Studio, Install Shield tools, VB Script, Batch script, Power Shell,
and Software Distribution system experience including MS SCCM. Knowledge of
