Atrium Discovery and Dependency Mapping (ADDM) Technical resource. ADDM is
a BMC tool.
•Technical administrator to ADDM
•The administration and configuration of BMC ADDM across the
estate, including discovery of all key infrastructure, and network devices
•Backup & Restore
•Monitor appliance health
•Infrastructure Upgrade
•Manage ADDM-CMDB integration
•Perform configuration for the discovery solutions of all key
software, off-the-shelf and bespoke
•Responding to incidents and work orders where necessary, and
raising change requests for implementation
•Troubleshoot weekly discovery failures (Password issues, WMI
failures, connectivity problems)
•Build queries to customize/enhance reporting
•Reconciliation activity to ensure completeness of data
•Responsible to design and review the ADDM infrastructure while
scope expansion
•Write TPL’s (Technology Pattern Language) to enhance discovery
data quality
•Develop scripts to build application relationship (Application
modeling)
•Supporting upgrades of BMC ADDM and integrations into BMC
*Remedy*/Atrium CMDB
•Provide support documentations and checklist
•An ability to plan and implement complex changes requiring
strong attention to detail
•Works with *Remedy* support to resolve any integration issues
between ADDM and CMDB
•Customize appliance portal with required reports
•Capture database/software licensing information and share with
Asset Manager
•Responsible to design and implement ADDM commissioning and
decommissioning process along with Key stakeholder
•Responsible to share weekly report on discovery run’s and
other initiative
•Train end user on tool functionalities and reporting
Required skills
•Strong Unix/Linux administration experience
•Experience with BMC ADDM 8.x (BMC Atrium Discovery and
Dependency Mapping)
•Experience with other BMC technologies would also be
beneficial (i.e. BMC *Remedy* ITSM) Experience of managing Windows server
environments mainly from a security perspective
•Good networking technologies knowledge and basics of IT
security
•Broad awareness of industry technologies and ability to
understand applications from both technical and business perspective
•Shell scripting skills,
