*Title : .Net Developer (C#)* *Location : NYC,NY* *Duration : 6+ Month* *Interview : Phone & F2F* *Job Description :* Top tier investment bank is seeking a Macro IT Developer to join the Macro algorithmic execution team in New York. You will be working hands-on with traders, sales and developers to define, implement, test, monitor and improve our trading systems and development tools. HAL is the automated execution platform for the Rates business and is used both internally and externally to execute strategies on US Treasuries and futures. The client facing instance, Onyx, is a significant source of client flow and as such is a key component of the Macro business's strategy to generate revenue from Rates trading. HAL has been a success story for both IT and the Rates business unit for the past few years and we are now looking to expand the system by supporting new instruments and trading venues as part of global Macro IT. You will be involved in all aspects of the system, including the strategies, latency and performance, order management, and exchange connectivity. Experience/Qualifications The ideal candidate for this role has the following experience: - 4+ years of industry experience with C# (.NET Framework 3.5 or higher) using generics, ADO.NET, Windows Forms and/or WPF, and experience of multi-threaded systems. - Experience with database modelling and schema design (table design, data normalization, implementation of referential integrity and data constraints.) - Mathematical ability – an appreciation of algebraic, geometric, and statistical concepts and their application in problem solving. (e.g. linear and non-linear functions, linear interpolation, transformations and translations, population distributions and standard deviation calculations). - Some experience of C++ development. (Strongly preferable but not essential) - Experience of the full software development life cycle (requirements analysis, design, development, unit testing, build and deployment, and post implementation support.) - Agile development methodologies, such as Extreme Programming or Scrum.
