*Position: Sr. Data warehouse data analyst/tech BA* *Location: NYC* *Duration: Long Term* * * *Need Consultants local to NYC*** * * *Required experience:* · Minimum of 3 year experience in BI, data warehousing and related areas. · Very Strong SQL skills required. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Ability to effectively create data analysis and technical documentation. · Experience creating test plans, test cases, test scripts and performing data testing. · Experience working with data analysts to validate data definitions and relationships. · Will need to work to understand legacy and new systems and business processes to become subject matter expert for key areas. · Experience in testing/validation and implementation of various data warehouse system · Must have strong Functional and technical skills. · Experience doing deep data analysis on enterprise systems to find data analogies or inconsistencies. · Being detailed oriented is a must and ability to stay organized and reporting status will be required. · Experience with data modeling and experience working closely with ETL developers and functional teams. *Preferred experience:* · Experience working with HR data and enterprise ERP systems · Experience working on Higher Education warehousing projects · Experience working with Workday HR systems · Experience working on enterprise data conversion projects *Essential Functions:* · Develop an understanding of the data what it is, where it comes from, where it goes, what is done with it. · Develop necessary data flow and Business process flow diagrams. · Work with business users and business analysts to refine logical data model. · Will need to elicit requirements using interviews, group facilitation, prototyping, data analysis, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, & workflow analysis. · Work closely with data stewards and technical teams to document business rules, data element relationships, meta data requirements. · Will need to work closely with functional team to map data from legacy enterprise system to new enterprise systems. · Communicate with different levels of management regarding information needs. *Project Description: * - The project involves building a new HR data warehouse. Data from a new HR ERP system and a legacy HR system will need to be integrated as a component of this project. *Qualifications:* - Requires a bachelor’s degree in the area of specialty and 4-6 years of experience in the field or related area.
