I know there have been issues installing 9i on P4 boxes, but does anyone know why I would not be able to start the 8.1.7 Oracle Installer on W2K after getting the initial splash screen? I have to concur. I run a small backup utility for an Oracle / Sun box via my browser every morning, and it takes ages to load. This is on a brand new network. And yes, it's a buggy, fussy piece of software.
