RE: Oracle 9iAS form displays gray box

2003-09-11 Thread Randy Pace

This appears to be standard appearance. The
browser is not trying to display anything else. All you have done after you
press the OK is close the form. After forms closes it simply keeps the gray box
there.

Randy,

I don't think the JVM is missing.

try installing the $ORACLE_HOME/plsql/jlib/plsql.jar file using sqlloader.
the class files from this file are what are missing.

hope this helps

tkprof on 901 database

2003-01-31 Thread Randy Pace
I have a 9.01 database installed on my laptop and cannot find the
tkprof.exe. Has it been renamed or is it part of an installation that I did
not do?

Thanks for any and all replys.

Ora 29540 error

2002-12-04 Thread Randy Pace
Title: Ora 29540 error

I get the following when trying to use the utl_tcp package on 8.1.7 database.

The following error has occurred:

ORA-29540: class oracle/plsql/net/TCPConnection does not exist
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_TCP", line 537
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_TCP", line 199
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_SMTP", line 102
ORA-06512: at "SYS.UTL_SMTP", line 121
ORA-06512: at "KIVA.RP_SEND_MAIL", line 51
ORA-06512: at line 5

What is missing from the database in order for that to run?

Thanks for any help.

  other fun stuff

  Hello all,
  I'm working on sql*loader scripts and I
realize that I'd probably be DONE by now if I had awk and sed to use.  Of
course, as unix-deficient as I am, I don't have it.  Does anyone know of
a windows version of these utilities?
Also I seem to remember someone had
created a dynamic create-control-file-based-on-a-table script in the past and
shared it with the list.  Does anyone remember where that was?

Re: TOAD v/s PL/SQL Developer

2001-05-31 Thread Randy Pace

We have been using free TOAD for over a year and have gotten from them
somehow an extenstion of the expire license to not expire for the next 5
years. This version of TOAD meets our needs so we see no reason to upgrade
for most of us.

2001-05-22 Thread Randy Pace

I have a database 8.1.7 personal and had a client send me an export . When I
try the import I get the message

I have never run across this before. What can I do to resolve the issue?

Thanks for you help.
