advanced replication knowledge resources

2003-03-04 Thread Robert Stauffer
We'll need to set up multi-master replication between two 8.1.7 databases within the
next few months. We're not experienced with replication beyond relatively simple
snapshots and snapshot groups. Can anyone suggest good training, web, and/or printed
resources we can use to get up to speed? I see Oracle offers 2 distributed systems
courses and the book "Oracle Distributed Systems" by Charles Dye is available. Any
experience with these references? Thanks for you help.

Re: OAUGNet & OAUGNet-DBA list servers from OAUG.COM

2003-02-06 Thread Robert Stauffer
Bob,

They switched to a different list server provider and there were numerous problems.
They may have unsubscribed you. Here's a quick list of email addresses for the
OAUGNet-DBA list. I assume the OAUGNet list email addresses would be similar.

To unsubscribe, E-mail to: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
To switch to the FEED mode, send any message to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
To switch to the INDEX mode, E-mail to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi,

Is any one getting emails from OAUGNet & OAUGNet-DBA
list servers (www.OAUG.COM)? For some reason, I am not
getting emails for the last one week.

Thanks
Bob

Oracle's Online DBA services for Oracle Apps 11i

2002-09-10 Thread Robert Stauffer

This may be opening a can of worms, but has anyone on the list used Oracle Support's
Online DBA for Applications or Patch Management services for Oracle Apps 11i? If so,
what particular services did or are they performing for you? Were or are you
satisfied with their work?

Thanks,
