We had some nasty problems with early version 8 drivers with thread safety, but I could never determine if this was our code or Oracle's. As of the 8.1.7.3 rewrite of the Oracle drivers, these seemed to disappear, so using 8.1.7.6 should be fine. Ciao Fuzzy :-) -- "Woo Hoo!" - H. Are ODBC connection handles shareable over multiple threads?
Hi everyone, A developer who is working on an application to retrieve data from an 8.1.7 database using ODBC asked me this question, "Are the connection handles for the odbc version 8.1.7.6 shareable across multiple threads?". I had to tell him I didn't know but I would look it up and ask around if anyone knew. So as I do research on my side, If someone could give me an answer or a good place to find the answer, I would be thankful.
