W, Run the export with 'nohup' and optionally redirecting the 'standard error' and 'standard out' to another file. nohup exp ... or nohup exp ... 2>&1 > junk.log In the first case screen output will be redirected (default) to 'nohup.out' file. In the second case it is redirected to the junk.log file. HTH..
