It seems that the new version of Workflow that we implemented had a massive query running in the background, compound that with we run 9 companies (multi schema) in one database, that was 9 massive queries running in the background. The thing that I didnt notice it at first was that because SMON had all the CPU these processes showed very little CPU usage.Yet the following morning they had increased their CPU usage to about 5% each and SMON was normal. I easily identified the problem then , killed the queries, bollocked the vendor, and all is normal again. Anyhow thanks to the guys who contributed.
