Impact Analysis or GAP Analysis Document
Title: RE: MS Access Thanks guys, for pointing to the right place for Access issues. Has some one got a document which you may have written for performing a conversion/migration from Access to Oracle, or for that matter any conversion. I want to look in the document, as to what issues are to be dealt with, what is the change that needs to take place in the new system, what is the actual thing in access and what is the desired effect going to be in Oracle. I know there will be different things customized for your company's case, but I want to just see how the whole document is structured, and therefore get a good idea as to what the conversion process will entail. You can write me direct at:- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please reply fast, as I need to see what are the different options I need to look at. I am specifically looking for migrating/converting large Access database into Oracle database. I need to know what will be the steps to convert such a database into an Oracle database. Also need to learn Access from start. Please reply fast, I need to dive into this one. Thanks and Regards, Raja
Impact Analysis
All, I was told a while a go about a new suite of utilities called 8i Change control (or Impact analysis) which will look at an oracle 7.3 (not 2) and above database and show you all the impacts, pl/sql, tables, columns etc etc. of an upgrade to 8i. Anyone else heard of such a thing. I was told to look at the Oracle 8.1.7 Documentation CD under the 'new feature' or options pack, but I cannot see anything of the sort. Any ideas of where it is, if it indeed exists or of any other tool that does a similar thing.
