RE: ORA-4030 Out of Process Memory

2002-08-15 Thread John Kanagaraj

Samir,

Does ulimit -a indicate anything? From my Solaris 8 system:

$ ulimit -a
time(seconds)unlimited
file(blocks) unlimited
data(kbytes) unlimited
stack(kbytes)8192
coredump(blocks) unlimited
nofiles(descriptors) 256
vmemory(kbytes) unlimited

Also look at '/etc/sysdef':

*
* Process Resource Limit Tunables (Current:Maximum)
*
  Infinity:Infinity cpu time
  Infinity:Infinity file size
  Infinity:Infinity heap size
0x0080:Infinity stack size
  Infinity:Infinity core file size
0x0100:0x0400 file descriptors
  Infinity:Infinity mapped memory

RE: ORA-4030 Out of Process Memory

2002-08-15 Thread SARKAR, Samir

Thanks a bunch for replying, John. I had a look at the /etc/sysdef file and
it seemed
to be exactly the same as yours.so were the ulimit parameters.

I have logged a call with Oracle but they do not seem too be very responsive
either.

Anybody else with any other ideas about what and how to tweak any of the
server
or database parameters ??

Any help will b greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Samir
