RE: RMAN, Netbackup question
Richard-I've seen ti done before.. But I can't remember the details. I had a couple of guys on my team at a previous shop do it. Greg -Original Message- Sent: Thursday, November 29, 2001 10:45 AM To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L Hi all, I have a question regarding RMAN working with Netbackup. Is it possible to kick off multiple streams to write to the tape? I tried through RMAN to have 4 channels, but they are queued at the Netbackup Server. I want them to go in parallel. Now, it seems that for the Class Type Oracle, it's won't allow multiple data sterams. That option is greyed out. RE: RMAN, Netbackup question
I think you need to configure your NetBackup class to handle multiple streams. -Original Message- Sent: Thursday, November 29, 2001 11:23 AM To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L Richard-I've seen ti done before.. RE: RMAN, Netbackup question
That's what I thought but the class has Class Type of Oracle. And under that class type the multiple data stream is greyed out. So I shouldn't use oracle as the class type then?
