I have solaris 8 and oracle 9i on my home development box. 9i is awesome, but it is also very immature. Solaris 8 has many new features and definitely worth the upgrade. If there is liability and there are problems, will the spotlight be on you or the sa? I suppose if you can point at the sa faster than he can point at you then, no prob. Kinda like the ol' wild West.
