Catherine, Check if the /etc/system file has been configured correctly. e.g I have the following set on my Solaris 2.8 server : * settings for Oracle Hemant, 26-Jun-01 set shmsys:shminfo_shmmax=4294967295 set shmsys:shminfo_shmmin=1 set shmsys:shminfo_shmmni=100 set shmsys:shminfo_shmseg=256 set semsys:seminfo_semmns=2048 set semsys:seminfo_semmni=64 set semsys:seminfo_semmsl=100 You need to reboot the server for these to take effect.
