RE: where's the NT pfile?
By default it is in $ORACLE_HOME/database in Oracle 8.0 Alex Hillman -Original Message- [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, May 03, 2001 7:16 PM To: Multiple recipients of list ORACLE-L Try looking in the registry. Re: where's the NT pfile?
Henry, If your database is up and running all ready you can do the following query to find the pfile. select name, value from v$parameter where name like 'ifile'; Rodd >> Original Message << On 5/3/01, 1:20:59 PM, Henry Poras <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote regarding where's the NT pfile?: > I've got an easy one. RE: where's the NT pfile?
Actually that seems to be a file that points to the file in the pfile directory, the password file is also located here. If you want to know what pfile is associated with what db you can just open it up, not to mention that it will be uder the directory with the same name as the DB.
