2002-03-14 Thread Ari Kaplan

I agree. IOUG has a site to help educate management on the benefits of
attending IOUG Live! 2002:

http://www.ioug.org/ioug_p/live_2002?v_nav=ATTEND&v_text=LIVE_2002_WHO_ATTEN
D

>From the IOUG email campaign:

"Still need your boss's approval to attend Live! 2002?
If more than 290 technical sessions, 16 exhibitor forums, Oracle
Campgrounds, and the inside scoop on Oracle 9i Release 2 aren't enough to
get your boss's approval, click here for a list of reasons to attend Live!
2002 and start preparing for a week of intense Oracle training."

OK. Everyone. My 2 cents now. I am the Focus Area Manager for the DBA
Track at IOUG-A Live. Please encourage damangement (Gaja Terminology) to
facilitate your attendance at this great event. Please remember that if you
are a member of a local or regional user group, you receive a significant
discount on attendance.

Also remind damagement that this is not a boon doggle. This is an
educational event "For Users" "By Users"!

Any questions, send me an email.

RE: Now: IOUG : Was: PocketDBA

2002-03-07 Thread Karniotis, Stephen

OK.

Thank You

yeppers i'll be there and (he crosses his fingers) if all goes well in
our testing(Susan and I) for the data guard presentation, we hope to do
a switchover and possibly a switch back in the demo part.

We'll have 2 laptops each running linux and 9i connected by a hub.

This should be a fun experiment if nothing else. :)

I'm hearbroken that you haven't read the schedule and already marked my
presentation as a "must-see" sigh, how soon they forget me.

:)

I'll be there

Marlene Theriault is presenting and will be on the IOUG Oracles of
Oracle panel the last day. And this is, she swears, the last time she
will be presenting.
