Last I heard from Oracle was May 4th for release of 64-bit 817 for Solaris. Stephen, Last time I checked Metalink (couple of weeks ago), 8.1.7 64-bit status was "projected" with Sun Sparc Solaris. I filled out a TAR asking when it will be certified, and they told me to check Metalink (even offered me walk me though the web pages)! Cyril, We tried opening a DB that had been run on 32 the bit executables under HP-UX 10.20 with Oracle 64 bit executables on HP-UX 11.0. We received about 8 ORA-00600 errors each with 5 to 8 parameters reported. The folks at OTS told us what we had done in about 2 minutes just from the error messages. Therefore I think this is a "common" error that a bunch of us are making. Their suggestion was to export the DB in 32 bit mode, recreate it in 64 bit and run the import.
