Re:RE: MS access
I've been working in Oracle for 4 years and Access for 6 years, and can assure you that for Access 97 (size limit is 1 g), Access 2000 (size limit is 2 g), Access 2002 (size limit is 4g). I've had 500 mg database that work fine in a multiuser environment, however if there is a need for a enterprise solution, then using a enterprise tool is better suited. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > Kevin!!! > > Li, > In reality Access does have a file size limit, but I believe it > is much > lower than 1GB. Re:RE: MS access
LI, Great idea, wonder where that came from! Just DON'T push the table definitions from Access into Oracle via Access. else you'll have objects that are a nightmare to access forever. Re:RE: MS access
Kevin!!! Li, In reality Access does have a file size limit, but I believe it is much lower than 1GB. Regrettably there is no way around it, except as Kevin stated to use a pass through query to Oracle. One should understand that Access is designed as a single user system that gets bastardized into multi user applications with a lot of resulting trouble.
