SR BUSINESS / SERVICE ANALYST

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Business / Service Analyst with
strong knowledge of Agile / Scrum to support customer portal development
projects, on an 6 month+ assignment.

Position objective: The Senior Service Analyst is responsible for
accomplishing service and implementation objectives by planning and
identifying specific service requirements on medium and large agile
initiatives.



Typical work-related activities include:

• Develop Service themes and epics, ensuring integrity of the service
across products

• Engage stakeholders to identify cross-functional product features, and
impacts to current processes, operations, and platforms

• Support the Service Owner in the generation of Service Roadmaps and
Service Backlogs, plus grooming of those backlogs

• Bundling of service backlog items into implementable initiatives at the
Scrum and Sprint backlog level, supporting the product owners and Scrum
teams in the understanding of initiatives/scrum feature contents

• Develop detailed service requirements, requirements scope, use cases, and
user stories as needed, and work with Business Analysts at the Scrum level
to ensure implementation of those

• Work with the product owners and support the prioritization of work
through Scrum work-streams

• Facilitating meetings involving cross-functional teams across the life
cycle from strategy and planning to implementation

• Support Scrum and Sprint planning and estimation of effort, as well as
Scrum of Scrums when needed

• Generate and maintain requirements traceability matrixes and the
relationships to use cases

• Produce communications and documentation that is clear and organized

• Map high level processes and elicit service requirements from process
improvement activities

• Ensure that Customer Experience and Customer Care requirements are
included in the Service Backlog and cascaded down to Scrums



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area desired, preferably in business
and/or technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired



EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of five years of service/business analyst related experience
required

Including:

o Process improvement and *LEAN* approaches

o Agile methodologies (Scrum and *SAFe*)

o Backlog grooming and prioritization

• Experience in developing customer portals strongly preferred



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Strong understanding of LEAN principles and how they apply to process
improvement preferred

• Ability to facilitate discussions and lead events with stakeholders at
various levels across organization

• Ability to translate business needs into requirements then into actions,
including process modeling, creation of other visual models, business rule
capture, user stories, use cases, functional requirements, and capturing
user acceptance criteria

• Demonstrated collaboration and relationship skills

• Ability to prioritize work and manage ambiguity

• Ability to communicate effectively with others across the organization
including effectively translating business needs into solutions

• Ability to build collaborative relationships by incorporating
expectations of customers in delivering required results and share
information about how trends may influence products, services, and customer
needs

• Knowledge of customer portal trends

• Knowledge of customer experience, user experience, the importance of
user-centered design and customer validation.

• Knowledge of web content management systems and modern web architectures
