*Overview:* The customer is seeking a senior IT Data Architect for
supporting the organization's Data & Integration team in implementation of
IBM Data models. The candidate will collaborate with the Project Manager
and play role of  IT Data Architect



*Experience Required:*

•        Minimum 10 years of experience working as a IT Data Architect

•        Strong Experience (must) in Physical data modeling using IBM
InfoSphere Data Architect 9.x.

•        Extensive experience in SQL expertise, database view
implementation, and query tuning on DB2 LUW 10.x, especially for
operational systems (expertise in OLAP not required).

•        Experience with IBM Insurance Information Warehouse models,
including the IBM IAA Foundation Business Model they are based on.

•        Experience in creating complex Business data model views using
Reference data and Metadata.

•        Working knowledge of the IBM IIW Models, IBM Data Models,
including the foundational business model.

•        Good knowledge of DB2 LUW (namely Linux)

•        Experience working as a Database Administrator

•         Proven physical data modeling/database design skills, including
database views

•        Advanced SQL writings skills

•        Experience in Database validation

•        Knowledge of all phases of software system development lifecycle

Day-to-day monitoring and troubleshooting of jobs, problems and performance
issues in Hadoop clusters.

Day-to-day operation activities including, incidents, problem and change
management.

Investigate and characterize non-trivial performance issues in various
environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve Hadoop Ecosystem issues including Hive, Hbase,
Spark, Pig, Scoop, Storm, Mysql and Kafka.

Work with other IT and data management teams to evaluate their Hadoop use
cases, provide feedback and design guidance.

Work with Real Time application teams who communicate to Hadoop clusters
and suggest recommendation and provide solutions on tomcat, solr, elastic
search.

Ready to learn new technologies and improve cross skills within team.

Ability to self-learn new languages and technologies, ideal candidate is a
curious, problem-solving, autodidactic polyglot

•  Linux Administration and Engineering

•  Experience in designing, implementing and administering highly available
Hadoop clusters

•  Experience working with MapR vendor ecosystems

•  Knowledge of capacity planning, management, and troubleshooting for
HDFS, YARN/MapReduce, Hive, Pig and HBase

•  Understanding of network concepts and experience managing host level
network services

•  Background with common automation tools. StackIQ is plus.

•  Background with a higher level scripting language, such as Perl, Python,
Shell.
