Location* : *Cupertino, CA Duration:* *6+Months * * **Interview Mode: Telephonic *** *Job Description:* Architect/Design & Development of Projects using Big Data technologies (specifically Hadoop), participate in Business Requirements Review, come up with architectural design, High Level and detail-level Design Reviews, Coding, Code Reviews, Testing and support. Manage co-ordination with client architects and managers, onsite, offshore teams and various cross-functional teams. *Required Skills and Experience :* · Ability to drive the system architecture and design single-handedly with the client and partners. · Extremely quick learner and possess a passion to recommend best practices and innovative solutions. · Expert level knowledge of Architectural Design Patterns/Best practices. · Expert level knowledge of Hadoop, HBase, Pig scripts, HIVE, MapReduce programs. · Expert level Knowledge of an Appserver like Weblogic, JBOSS, Apache, Tomcat, IIS, and Websphere. · Hands-on experience managing multi-terabytes of datasets is required. · Strong knowledge of Core Java. · Hands-on experience with n-tier systems and working in Enterprise environment. · Hands-on experience with IDE (Eclipse). · Knowledge of UNIX and MAC OS. · Knowledge on Cloudera Manager and HBase Admin is a plus. · Experience implementing Storm architecture is a plus. · Excellent Troubleshooting Acumen and problem solving abilities. · Provide Tool evaluation and analysis for the new apps getting developed. · Ability to explain the Architecture to internal sponsors as well as to business sponsors. · Ability to work in front of customer under pressure and efficiently multi-task. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to influence diverse teams. *Desired Skills and Experience* At least 10+ years of industry experience with more than 5 years of strong technical/architectural skills in Core Java, Hadoop and related technologies. Must have architected at least 2 Enterprise Applications.
