Job Description:Role: Performance Engineer
Location: Orlando, FL
Term: 9+ months Contract

Note: We do not need testers. We are looking at people with following
skills, "People with java/j2ee development experience", "Performance defect
analysis" and "Performance tuning or optimization".

Job role:

1. Analyze Heap Dumps, Thread Dumps, Stack Traces, GC Logs, TCP
Dumps
2. Improving the performance using Front End Optimization, Tune
JVM, Code Profiling, SQL Tuning and Profiling
3. Identify and isolate performance issues on all layers of
application stack including Network, OS, Application, Database.
4. Provide and validate solutions for performance bottlenecks and
provide Best Practices and Recommendations.
5. Creating/implementing proactive performance engineering
frameworks for Agile/Waterfall models.
6. Good Experience in Java/JEE. Ability to understand Java Code,
previous development experience. Strong understanding of multithreading and
garbage collection.
7. Ability to analyse performance metrics from Wily Introscope &
Nimsoft.
8. Review and validate the architecture, design and technology
choices against NFRs
9. Fix architecture and design issues in the existing system in
order to improve performance and scalability.
10.   Diagnosis and fix performance & scalability related issues in
Java/J2EE technology based applications/ platform
11.   Tune the application and software infrastructure to improve the
performance and scalability
12.   Do research, evaluate/build tools and frameworks for performance
monitoring, diagnosing performance problems

*Job Description:*Role Name: Performance Engineer
Duration: 2 months
Location: Orlando, FL
Role description:
 Join performance testing calls, analyze various logs and identify
performance bottlenecks, direct defects to correct teams and follow through
to closure.  Write ad-hoc scripts in unix environment to triage the
defects. Has to have past experience in analyzing various levels of
architecture and think creatively to narrow down the performance
bottlenecks.

 Requirements:
 Ability to understand Java code quickly and identify potential memory
issues and performance concerns.

   - Versatile with wily and probe or similar profiling tools.
   - Understanding of HTTP1.1 protocol with deep knowledge of caching.
   - Experience in ReST and SOA architecture. Good level of sql developer
   level experience.
   - Experience with shell scripting in unix environment.
   - Ability to analyze the logs and provide good summary of all the
   problems.
   - Soft Skills: Good communication skills, Good leadership qualities in
   driving the effort, willing to learn quickly and very good presentation
   skills.
