*Position - Network Services Engineer* *Location- Dallas*
*Duration : 6 Month* *Job Description* *Ericsson IT & Cloud Services organization has an excellent opportunity for a Network Services Engineer with a strong background in enterprise class network infrastructure architecture, implementation, and management. A network engineer will spend the majority of time managing customer's mission critical, highly available network infrastructure with strict availability and service SLA. * *The candidate must possess experience and understand carrier IP backbone architecture and demonstrate that they can apply the vision and goals of that architecture in the day-to-day operations support. * *Primary Responsibilities * *· Identify faults and troubleshoot these in the solution, following defined processes* *· Participate on daily operational support activities using monitoring tools to support the products and network to maintain the agreed customer service contract* *· Perform complex updates/upgrades of live solution during maintenance windows* *· Participate in on-call support rotations within the technical team* *· Participate in technical reviews and provide support to our back office teams* *· Play significant role in improvement initiatives* *· Responsible for continuously keeping your competence and skills up to date* *· Actively contributes to knowledge sharing* *· Process requests from the customer via service ticketing system* *· Track all incidents and requests to successful conclusion* *· Participate in customer troubleshooting calls and produce RCA (Root Cause Analysis) in case of security and operational incidents* *· Work with off-shore analysts to produce operations KPI reports* *Requirements * *· BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.* *· 5 years or more previous experience working in Packet Core and PBN Integration* *· Excellent knowledge of Ericsson Packet Core Products (SSR,SGSN,GGSN,SASN,SAPC,IPWorks)* *· Excellent knowledge of Troubleshooting for Packet Core and IP* *· Excellent knowledge of IP networking and Internet technologies (IP/MPLS, BGP , L2TP,VRRP)* *· Excellent knowledge of 3GPP standards.* *· Strong knowledge of wireless technologies (call flow) and related protocols required* *· Hands on experience with Ericsson Products and Solution are a must.* - *Enterprise level experience with security solutions such as IPSEC VPNs, SSL VPNs, IPS, RADIUS, etc. is preferred.* - *Ability to demonstrate solid networking and security experience to customers and partners* - *Ability to clearly relay technical knowledge to both technical and non-technical people, written and verbally* *· * *· Track all incidents and requests to successful conclusion* *· Participate in customer troubleshooting calls and produce RCA (Root Cause Analysis) in case of security and operational incidents* *· Work with off-shore analysts to produce operations KPI reports* *Requirements * *· BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.* *· 5 years or more previous experience working in Packet Core and PBN Integration* *· Excellent knowledge of Ericsson Packet Core Products (SSR,SGSN,GGSN,SASN,SAPC,IPWorks)* *· Excellent knowledge of Troubleshooting for Packet Core and IP* *· Excellent knowledge of IP networking and Internet technologies (IP/MPLS, BGP , L2TP,VRRP)* *· Excellent knowledge of 3GPP standards.* *· Strong knowledge of wireless technologies (call flow) and related protocols required* *· Hands on experience with Ericsson Products and Solution are a must.* - *Enterprise level experience with security solutions such as IPSEC VPNs, SSL VPNs, IPS, RADIUS, etc. is preferred.* - *Ability to demonstrate solid networking and security experience to customers and partners* - *Ability to clearly relay technical knowledge to both technical and non-technical people, written and verbally* - *Experience in information gathering, planning, and execution of large and complex network/security projects in an enterprise-level environment* *Personal Attributes **:* *· Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills* *· Self-motivated, attitude of ownership, and a strong desire to learn* *· Must be a self-starter and have excellent communications and decision-making skills, both verbal and written.
