*Skill set:- VMware Consultant Exp required:- 5 to 7 years Location:- West Lake Village LA Start Date:- ASAP* *Duration :- 6 months * *Job Description: *Design and build the core VMware services to support the data center in conjunction with the rest of the build team and the larger data center operations teams. Working knowledge and experience with all other areas of the data center services, to both build additional services as needed and provide backup/support to the rest of the data center build team. Works with product development teams and architects to identify virtualization requirements and creates service specifications for those requirements ensuring hosting principals are applied. Drives remediation for data center infrastructure and service issues. Master troubleshooter capabilities to provide escalation assistance across data center infrastructure and services to aid in complex incident/problem management and RCA. Partners with other engineering/operations partners to improve upon service delivery, quality assurance, and MTTR of infrastructure/service incidents. Contributes and drives operational readiness efforts for compute, storage, and networking layers, focusing on the virtualization platform. Works on complex assignments where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations. Has the flexibility to apply knowledge and experience to recommend custom solutions to business problems and communicate tradeoffs when deviating from established standards. Advocate policy and standards, working to ensure consistent application across all infrastructure and services built. Engages and escalates to vendors for service restitution. Responsible for documenting technical build specifications and run books. Provides training and turnover around all infrastructure and services supported to both the rest of the data center build team and to the larger data center operations teams.
