Job Description:

The successful candidate will work with the Unix Technology and Ops teams,
project managers and application support associates on the ZNA Server
Refresh project.

The Selected candidate will coordinate the installations with the Hardware
vendor, facilities for cabling network and fiber, HMC lpar setup and
definitions. Candidate will share in the on-call support, daily DMR's, etc.

The Candidate will interface to all facets of the ISP, managing each task
for the project lpar migration. They will work with the Facilities Team,
Storage and Network teams. They will use the standard approved image builds
and mksysb's to migrate from old platform to new. Candidate may also have to
coordinate the upgrade of AIX v5.x to 5.3 with the latest approved
maintenance levels.

In addition, responsibilities will include coordination and collaboration
with business unit personnel and peers to ensure seamless platform migration
while maintaining service level agreements and overall customer
satisfaction.  This person will also test and troubleshoot any issues found
on the replacement servers.  Project team size will vary by site and project
assigned.

*Profile:*

Candidate will work closely with the Farmers / Zurich Midrange (Unix – AIX)
staff to configure and deploy new RS6000 hardware to refresh current
outdated equipment. This will include the use and understanding of all
possible hardware models (Regatta, p520's through p595's). In addition, a
strong understanding of Network topologies and Storage area Networks is
required. Experience with EMC power path and multi path connectivity is
desired.  Candidate will assist with the migration of aging physical servers
to new Virtual servers utilizing VIO Servers and micro partitioning.

Performs other duties as assigned.

*Skills:*

Must possess strong Verbal and written communication skills. Results
orientated individual with the ability to work well with little or no direct
supervision.  Ability to collaborate and flourish in a team environment.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
