Celtic International is looking for a Perl Developer/Analyst on a 3-month
contract basis to complement their development team.

The successful candidate will support the IT Director and local developers
in further development, maintenance and operations of the internally
supported transportation management system (TMS).
The web based TMS covers all aspects of the transportation business, from
order placement to shipment execution and financial reporting. It
interfaces with various technologies, including ANSI X12 EDI with shippers
and carriers.
The prospective candidate is among the best in the field: self-driven,
goal-oriented, and is able to understand and troubleshoot complex systems
with little or no guidance. He/She hasexcellent analytical skills, a broad
knowledge of Open Source technologies with emphasis on the Linux
environment, and the vision to apply these in a fast-paced business
environment.In addition, the candidate ensures high quality standards, good
communication skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a small team of
junior programmers.Above all the candidate must be able to provide quality
solutions within a short timeframe.
Responsibilities:
Assist Celtic’s developers in resolving TMS related support tickets.
Participate in system improvements through short term projects as
determined by business.
Assist in EDI integration projects, in particular EDI onboarding.
Identify issues and troubleshoot the LAMP stack based TMS.
Participate in analyzing business processes and collecting requirements.
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Minimum of 4 years of development experience in the Linux environment.
Experience with the LAMP stack in a production environment.
Minimum 2 years of MySQL experience.
Familiarity with EDI X12 a plus.
