Position – IT PMO Manager

*Job Summary:*

The IT PMO Manager consultant is responsible for managing the project
portfolio and provided executive management with a top-down view of project
portfolio status for all programs and projects.

*Essential Job Functions:*



· Provide project portfolio management and governance for the IT
organization’s projects and strategic programs

· Assess project health and project risk in conjunction with project and
program managers

· Provide PM guidance with a consultative approach to identify unforeseen
risks, project issues and schedule impacts.

· Effectively run the weekly PMO meetings so that valuable information is
shared and escalated as needed

· Manage and facilitate the IT Gate process ensuring project compliance and
provide awareness to the CIO and IT leadership on troubled projects

· Improve existing PM and SDLC delivery methodology to accommodate Agile,
Waterfall and COTS package implementations with outsourced and insourced
teams

· Facilitate and improve the demand management and portfolio cycle planning
to ensure the right investment selections are chosen.

· Lead project turnaround efforts when projects are failing to meet
commitments

· Improve PM competency and knowledge sharing through a community of
practice and 3rd party training

Potentially manage small projects

*Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements: *



· *At least 2 years of experience *implementing and managing a project
management office

· PMP certified; ITIL and Agile trained; deep experience with managing
large IT projects

· Bachelor's Degree in computer science or business related degree
