Job 316 Burbank CA Unix Sysytems Adm. Duration; 6 MOnths 65% This position will participate in the installation, monitoring and maintenance of UNIX based servers supporting SAP, Oracle, DB2/UDB, and other client/server and Web-based applications. Since center-based methodologies are utilized within the data centers, the candidate must be comfortable working with multiple operating systems such as AIX, Solaris and Linux environments. 35% This position will also participate in the installation, monitoring and maintenance of UNIX based backup and recovery systems and participate in the implementation, and ongoing administration of multiple SAN architectures such as EMC,and IBM. The successful candidate will also participate in the implementation, testing, and maintenance of High Availability server fail-over configurations. This position will participate in a 24x7 on call rotation and require some off hour and weekend The successful candidate will also need to have excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language. 5% Develop and maintain technical procedures and documentation The successful candidate will need 7-10 years IT experience with 5-7 years experience in Unix Administration. Strong technical and analytical skills, including the ability to understand and convey complex technical information. Experience with multiple Unix Operating Systems, such as AIX, Solaris, and Redhat Linux. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Experience developing and maintaining technical procedures and documentation. Management skills: Ability to manage programs asscoiated with Enterprise technology solutions, implementations. Must have ability to work with diverse teams to develop industry best practice deployment of Unix Operating Systems.
