*Project Title: senior level Informatica ETL Developer (MIN. 9+ YRS OF
EXP.)*
*Location: Reston, VA (Prefer East Coast Candidates)*
*Length: 4 Months *
*Rate: Open (Market Rate)*
*POSITION SUMMARY:*
Manage and execute small scale independent assignments and work as part of
larger teams creating significant and complex database solutions for
business applications, including designing and developing ETL modules for
the creation and maintenance of ODS, Data Warehouse, and Data Mart
applications.
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:*
Designs, programs, tests and maintains ETL and database-related software for
applications. • Demonstrate the ability to work independently, taking
ownership and responsibility for managing projects and tasks. • Provides
technical ownership in primary areas of competence, and task management and
project leadership support. • Develops increasing expertise in key database
development and ETL system implementation technologies. • Develops
experience and expertise in problem definition, requirements analysis and
the general design of database systems. • Develops an increasing
appreciation for technologies and architectures, including; enterprise
architecture strategies and implementation, architecture software design,
construction, and deployment best practices, architecture and component
performance testing, hosting strategies and infrastructure architectures,
OOAD, OOP, and RUP. • Provide / assists with, project management and project
leadership as needed. • Provide technical support to third parties regarding
the use, understanding, design, and implementation of products, providing
end user and on-site support when required. • Demonstrate the ability to
multi-task by managing and communicating priorities to all appropriate
audiences. • Represents the organization and its products in public forums,
inter-company meetings, and industry conferences.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*
Education/Experience Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related
subject, plus additional related college courses or professional training,
and four to six years of progressively responsible directly-related
experience. Current Informatica Developer Course Certification is desirable
*Related Skills Other Requirements:*
Expertise in ETL and database design; Experience in the design,
implementation, and tuning of Informatica ETL; especially in conjunction
with ODS / Data Mart / Data Warehouse / OLAP solutions Proficiency with SQL
and Oracle PL-SQL Understanding of modern software engineering principles
and practices Generally familiar with database programming and analysis,
systems development methodologies, specifically Java, XML, web services, and
UNIX shell scripting; Ability to support multiple concurrent projects;
Excellent communication and interpersonal relationship skills; Strong
customer service orientation; Strong problem solving and analytic skills
