Big Data Architect is responsible for creating the Design, Development and
Implementation of Big Data Platform for acquiring data from Mechanical
devices. Responsibilities include analysis, design, development,
implementation and support of the application(s) to benefit businesses.
Design and Development of a Framework for common and consistent use of the
intended design for real time streaming of data and batch process based
data migration. Architect will be responsible for all deliverables from
Review of requirements, developing Technical Design Documentation,
Validation of test scripts and test cases, coordinate the implementation of
the same into production and related support activities.



*Core Responsibilities:*



1. Lead the Architecture, design, development and Implementation of Big
Data Applications.

2. Selecting the right Big Data tool sets to meet the requirement

3. Define the scope of the of multiple Big Data projects within the program



*Day-to-Day Responsibilities:*



1. Design, Develop and Implement Big Data Applications

2. Extensive experience application optimization (performance Tuning the

are out there. The DataStax / Cassandra Consultant should be able to assess
data sets and take care of the quality and correctness of the available
data. Subsequently, the DataStax / Cassandra Consultant should be able to
query the data, perform analyses and present findings in a clear and
understandable language.

The DataStax / Cassandra Consultant should have sufficient technical
knowledge. He or she needs to be able to program, preferably in different
programming/scripting languages such as CQL for Cassandra, Python, R, Java,
Ruby, Clojure, Matlab, Pig or SQL, NOSQL. They need to have an
understanding of Hadoop, DataStax Cassandra, Apache Spark, DSE, Solr,
HBase, Pig, Hive, Sqoop, MongoDB and/or MapReduce, High Performance
Computing, Data Mining and Analysis, Information Life Cycle Management, Map
Reduce Programming and Intelligence, Pearl, PHP, Java, C++, Rendering,
MapReduce, Scientific Computational Enterprises, Big Data Analytics, SQL,
NoSQL, WebSphere

Implementation knowledge of ElasticSearch/Solr is a plus.

In addition he or she needs to be familiar with disciplines like text
mining, clustering analysis, recommendation analysis, outlier detection,
predictive analytics or similarity searches as well as different modelling
techniques. The big data solution can be delivered on premises or in the
cloud. Therefore, the DataStax/Cassandra / Consultant should also have
experience with one of the large cloud-computing infrastructure solutions
like Amazon Web Services or Elastic MapReduce.
