Serves as a strong team member and individual contributor in the support,
development and implementation of new and/or updated technology.  Provides
support to management in identifying and implementing standards and
methodologies.  Defines the functional requirements of the system to
support business needs and provides oversight to the process of
identifying, evaluating and testing new/emerging technologies.  Supports
Security in the development of appropriate audit controls and procedures to
ensure the integrity and protection of company resources.  Works with
project teams and customers to understand and define business objectives
and requirements to ensure technical designs comply with IS technology
standards.

1.ITIL V3 Foundation

2.DB2 Database Administration



Experience in/with:

1.Installing and maintaining DB2 V9+  software, related
releases of database software and maintenance

2.Analyzing, physically designing, creating and monitoring of
DB2 mid-tier database structures for optimal performance and availability

3.Troubleshoot and resolve technical database issues

4.Develop and implement technology database solutions

5.Implementing repeatable database management operational
processes with script automation and remote scheduling

6.Interfacing with external vendors for problem determination
and resolution with escalation, if necessary

7.On call support (24x7)

8.Utilize DB2 tools to monitor database performance and
availability

9.DBMS – DB2 V9+ on HP-UX, AIX and Linux (primary), Sybase
(secondary)

10.  Utilize SQL programming languages



*REQUIRED:*

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field or applicable
professional certification and/or four to six years relevant technical and
analytical experience.

Requirements include strong technical, analytic, design and development
experience.



Experience in/with:

•  developing new technologies and/or processes to meet
business  needs

•  building and supporting multiplatform systems

•  providing internal consulting expertise to business
customers in the development of business requirements

•  interpreting and coordinating the maintenance of technology
consistent with architectural guidelines

•  providing oversight to the introduction of new development
tools and/or processes

•  monitoring tasks, using appropriate tools and techniques,
recording progress, adjusting to project changes to meet deadlines

•  designing, developing and supporting mainframe or
distributed systems

•  system development methodologies



Knowledge of:

•  infrastructure architecture; add (Relational DBMS – Oracle,
DB2, SQL Server, IMS)

•  operation systems; add (Linux and OS 390)

•  security and control procedures



Ability to:

•  apply similar prior experience to new issues to ensure
effective problem solving

•  develop strong business relationships

Our Senior Software QA Engineer will help us deliver quality software
through the generation of test suites for functional, integration, and
regression testing of key product components. This role will interact
closely with development leads and product owners to understand
requirements and system design and develop efficient, repeatable testing
methodologies.


Our client is an emerging venture where everyone works in a hands-on and
technically savvy Agile environment. Therefore, the Sr. Software Quality
Engineer *must have a strong technical foundation including: HTML, PHP,
FLASH, JAVA, XML, Perl, and JavaScript. Also, experience in testing web
based Client/Server environments, and database skills.*



Responsibilities:
• Plan and execute *white box, gray box and black box testing for manual
and/or automated tests as needed.*
• Write test plans and test cases based on requirements and technical
specifications
• Isolate, reproduce and track bugs and verify bug fixes
• Analyze test results to verify functionality and recommend corrective
action in the case of failure
• Design and execute performance tests including benchmarking, stress and
load
• Work closely with developers, Support, and Program Managers on defect
resolution.
• Fully competent in the design, implementation, and maintenance of a test
environment, including necessary equipment, configuration, and software.
• Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.
• Build and maintains testing tools.

Qualifications


Required:
• Must have a good working knowledge and experience with Automation
Functional and Load Testing tools. (Selenium, etc)
• Proficient in Java, C++, and one or more scripting languages (perl,
python, etc)
• Minimum two years of experience testing software, (Windows, Linux)
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, testing methodologies,
QA terminology, processes and procedures in an Agile environment.
• Experience working with browser components and add-on’s / web server
environment
• Experience logging/resolving defect issues using a tracking system
• Experience writing automation tool code.
• Ability to write clear and concise test cases
• Superior written and oral English communication skills
• Detail oriented, analytical, methodical, a systematic thinker, tactful
and diplomatic
• Experience Running Stress/Load Tests
