JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
•Provide technical problem trouble shooting, identification, and
resolution to maintain customer productivity.
•Escalate problems to the appropriate escalation partner or management
as needed. Follow processes, develop and update procedures to provide
fast, consistent and reliable customer service.
•This position requires working on holidays and weekends in addition to
normal office hours.
•Resolving the technical issues within agreed SLA.
•Continually seeks to improve and enhance system performance,
reliability, data integrity and internal process and procedures.
• Interacts with teams, business managers and vendors to coordinate
technical interdependencies.
•Contributes to policies, standards and procedures, and documentation
of best practices/process improvements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Provide touch-services in Data Center facilities to assist technical
teams in identification resolution of problems in Data Center equipment
including Windows, Unix, and other types of servers.
•Monitor report status health of Data Center equipment
•Coordinate with vendors for activities like parts replacement,
troubleshooting resolution of problems
•Perform Backup Tape rotations coordinate with Vaulting partners for
offsite moves recalls for Automated Tape Libraries (ATLs)
•Working experience on tools like Autosys, SAR, Sysview, Data Pump and
Control-D
•Good knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Windows servers, and monitoring Skills.
•Good knowledge on Ticketing tools (CA SD, HP SD, HP OVO)
•Monitoring systems for unexpected operational events and faults.
•Monitoring systems for abnormal operational behavior and attempting to
resolve underlying errors proactively to reduce the volume of operational
events and faults.
•Monitoring of batch processing and ensure batch processing has
completed successfully.
•Provide support for batch processing and operations.
•To ensure service availability and performance of systems and services
(SLAs).
•Provide 24x7 monitoring of predictive infrastructure operations to
ensure correct functioning of the system.
•Act on and escalate monitoring alerts as per process guidelines.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer
focus and demonstrated ability to work in geographically dispersed teams.
•Ability to manage competing priorities while working on concurrent
projects and/or simultaneous support tasks across multiple business or
technical units.
•Must have exceptional computer skills within stated area of
engineering expertise and must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office
applications.
•Logical thought process and ability to learn new systems, concepts and
procedures.
•Must be able to make accurate decisions related to task delegation and
provide leadership in filling project and/or support team responsibilities.

•Experience and knowledge of UNIX shell scripting
•Familiarity with IBM p-Series enterprise servers including p6 and p7
series
•Familiarity with PowerVM virtualization including HMC, LPAR, SEA, and
VIO configuration and management•
•Good understanding of the AIX operating system including hardware,
device driver functionality, kernel parameters, LVM and file systems,
security,
network and firewall, performance tuning of processor, memory, and I/O
subsystems
