Job Title: DevOps/AppSupport  -- System Support (WebSphere, Linux, windows,
tomcat, scripting etc)
Location: NC or NH
Duration: 6-12+ months

Primary Responsibilities
Strong problem solving skills.  Ability to work across business and systems
groups at all levels. Customer service orientation demonstrated by the
ability to work with customers on key support issues.
Member of 7 by 24 rotating on call team
Responsible for monitoring the availability of environments. Monitor system
performance and error logs to insure a high level of application
availability.  This will include enhancing the automated monitoring
applications in place.
Participating in the build out of end-to-end systems environments,
documenting procedures, including application flows and dependency diagrams.
In working with our internal systems partners provide support for
infrastructure changes such as WebSphere/Tomcat upgrades, Solaris or Linux
patches and application installs.
Escalate support issues to other groups (development, network, hardware,
vendors, etc.) as required. Coordinate all activities and provide updates
to operations and management.  This includes participating or authoring
incident reports and technical communications.
Identify potential improvements to reduce the number of problems and
enhance supportability.
Participate in the transition of new applications, modifications and
enhancements to production support. This includes the development of call
scripts, monitoring procedures, standard break/fix documentation, cross
training of team members. Participate in development projects as required.

Education and Experience
BS in Computer Science or MIS
2+ years’ experience in application and systems support or relevant
technical training.
2+ years’ experience distributed application environment

Skills and Knowledge
Application support experience in WebSphere 6.x/7.x , Tomcat, Linux and
Solaris a must.
Build and release automation tools such as (Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy,
NexusPro)
Source code management systems and administration (GIT, ClearCase)
Scripting experience required (Groovy, Shell Scripting)
Hands-on professional experience with variety of the following technologies
is highly desired: Oracle, SQL Server, Java, Windows and Linux platforms.
Experience in Java Application (J2EE) and Web Server Application Support,
installation, and configuration
Proven Analytical, Problem Resolution, and Prioritization Skills
Knowledge security issues related to Intranet transaction
