*Job Description *

SAP Performance Testing/HP Load Runner/SAP TAO Developer: For Performance
testing, we definitely need a strong resource, who knows in and out about
the performance testing on SAP applications with both portal and standard
ECC

*General Functions*

The HP Load Runner / SAP Test Acceleration and Optimization (SAP TAO)
developer is expected to be able to automate SAP ECC 6.0 scenarios to
support automated execution of those processes for volume/stress testing or
regression testing purposes.  As an automation developer, the candidate
will design, write, and maintain automated test scripts to support the two
aforementioned activities.

>From an automated regression perspective, the person will be expected to
work with the various process and program teams to automate the requested
scenario.  They will be expected to participate in a process walkthrough
with the impacted team and gather the necessary information and data to
automate the scenario using SAP TAO and HP Quick Test Professional.  They
will also be expected to link requirements to automated scripts, route for
pre and post approval, identify and incorporate the necessary data, dry
run, execute, and maintain these scripts and document any defects as
required.

>From a volume/stress test perspective, the person’s primary responsibility
will be to work with the Performance Test Lead to identify and develop the
volume/stress test scripts in scope for that wave.  During the development
process, they will need to identify the amount of data required to support
execution of those test scripts and determine the appropriate think time
and pacing of each script based on the volumetric data gathered.  They will
be expected to develop scripts following best practices and appropriately
shakeout each script to ensure it’s ready for formal execution.  The person
will also be expected to provide input into the overall performance test
process to help ensure all aspects are being considered and addressed in an
appropriate timeframe.

*Responsibilities:*

1.    Develop automated regression test scripts using SAP TAO or HP QTP
2.    Develop automated volume/stress test scripts using HP Load Runner
3.    Provide input into the overall test process and Test Plan
4.    Identify the required data to support dry run, shakeout, and actual
execution of each script for automated regression or volume/stress testing
5.    Support the data identification and gathering efforts from various
process and program teams as required
6.    Provide the test lead with accurate and precise estimates for
assigned task duration, along with confidence levels and foreseeable
dependencies
7.    Assist in analyzing results and addressing issues or defects
8.    Adhere to the discrepancy management process if defects are found
9.    Collaborate with other test team members, Business and IT process
teams, IT program teams, and Infrastructure personnel as required to
complete all necessary preparation, execution, and close out efforts
10.    Partner with the Performance and Test team leads to automate all
scenarios in scope for that wave and provide daily status updates on
progress made

Qualifications

1.    Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or relevant discipline
2.    Strong knowledge of System Development Life Cycle process
3.    Strong knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0, SAP TAO, and the HP Load Runner
application
4.    Strong knowledge of the benchmarking, volume/stress, and automated
regression test process and best practices
5.    Minimum 5 years of SAP performance and automated regression script
development experience using HP Load Runner, HP Performance Center, HP
Quick Test Professional, and SAP TAO.
6.    Experience identifying, collecting, or creating enough data to
support the volume/stress and automated regression test scope.
7.    Must know how to collect volumetric data to support throughput,
timings, virtual users, amount of data, etc required to simulate production
load
8.    Must know how to analyze and extrapolate results given difference in
size of test and production environments.
9.    Must have strong communication skills to be able to collaborate with
process and program team members to develop the automated test scripts
10.    Strong independent analytical thinking and problem solving skills
11.    Strong oral and written communication, organizational, and
interpersonal skills
12.    Experience with ERP implementation projects a plus
13.    Strong team spirit and ability to work with cross-functional teams
14.    Drive for results
