This includes Hyperion, Oracle ERP, data warehouse systems, and other off-the shelf and custom software that is core to Yahoo’s internal systems architecture and data management strategy. The Corporate Applications group reports to the CIO and is strategically aligned, as a service provider organization, with our internal business partners across the company (i.e.) finance, HR, customer care, engineering, products and other G&A groups.** * * *Job Responsibilities/The Role/The Job* This position is for a Senior Oracle Applications DBA with extensive experience in the administration of multiple enterprise applications like Oracle Applications 11i/12, data warehouse systems etc. This position will be responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining the standard operating procedures for the operations team within the Corporate Applications group. The individual must have solid experience and understanding of system, database & integration technologies and responsible for 24/7/365 availability, scalability and incident response. The DBA must be self-motivating with a positive attitude and willing to work with application and integration teams on projects and production support issues. *Responsibilities include:* - Providing expert advice and direction in database/Oracle Applications technologies and disciplines which includes database Administration, database design and development for transactional, reporting and warehouse system solutions - Being responsible for database design, performance and monitoring of various versions of Oracle (RAC and non-RAC), mysql and SQL server databases, database tools and services - Designing and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity of data assets - Working with business analysts and application development staff to develop database architectures and quality assurance policies and procedures - Responding to and resolving production issues for all corporate applications - Developing, implementing and maintaining change control and testing processes for modifications to all applications environments - Establishing database standards, and procedures that will optimize database architectures, reliability, and performance for all corporate applications environments - Monitoring and reporting metrics related to performance, availability and other SLA measures - Conducting research and making recommendations on database products, services in support of planning efforts *Minimum Job Qualifications* - Prior Experience with managing Oracle Applications 11i/R12 and data warehouse environments - Hands on experience managing Oracle databases both RAC/non-RAC, SQL*server, MYSQL - Hands-on experience with Red Hat Linux and Windows environments - Experience in Oracle applications and database performance tuning, backup & recovery procedures, security best practices - Experience with Oracle Fusion middleware, Identity Management modules - Strong scripting knowledge in perl/shell/batch - Strong decision making skills, take charge personality, ability to see the big picture and determine problem resolutions. - Strong analytical and problem solving skills * * *Preferable Job Qualifications* - At least 5+ years experience managing enterprise platforms like Oracle Applications Financials/ERP and data warehouse environments - At least 7+ years of overall experience in IT/enterprise applications - Undergraduate degree is required - Being comfortable in a fast paced, dynamic environment Manish Sharma| man...@global-infotech.com -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "OracleD2K" group.
