Through effective management of time and resources the Test Lead is responsible for all activities related to Workday’s system, integration, platform, smoke and performance testing within budget, while meeting all quality deliverables. This role is responsible for planning and delivery of, but not limited to, Test Approach, Test strategy/Plan, Test cases and the Defect triage process for the Workday initiative. This role will be reporting directly into the Workday Technology Technical lead with an alignment to the QA Director/Manager. - Working with the Workday project team(s) at all stages to promote quality - Work closely with Workday Project Management team / Workday Technical Lead team to provide test estimates, test schedule, and manage test team resource needs - Accountable for keeping all the stakeholders informed and keeping testing on track - Communicate the test plan across project teams and coordinate all resources to ensure successful execution - Adapt the test plan and compensate as needed, adjusting to evolving conditions - Ensure testing milestones, activities and tasks are communicated properly and completed as scheduled - Monitor, measure, control and report on test progress, product quality and test results - Ensure test data and environments are both available and appropriately prepared for testing - Review requirements for testability and provide sign-off - Partner and consult with functional users and key stakeholders to define and help validate test conditions and create test scripts - Assign work and direct test specialists in creation of test scenarios, test cases, and requirement traceability - Review and provide feedback on the test artifacts developed by the test specialists - Ability to step in and help when needed in test script creation, execution, and/or validation - Responsible to drive all testing including parallel testing, system testing, and UAT through the approved project testing tool - Review defects and determine whether or not Vendor is required to help resolve the issue; they will subsequently inform the Project Manager who will assign the issue to the appropriate resource for resolution - Review defects, provide status in the daily testing meetings, and assign as appropriate - Work with developers to perform root-cause analysis - Identify, communicate, and track risks and issues associated with testing - Evaluate test cases for induction into automated regression testing - Lead efforts to establish Workday test automation and planning for subsequent release iterations - Lead and manage all necessary regression testing of current ERP system (inclusion of back bridging integrations, coordinate of 3rd party vendors, etc) Best Regards...
