Needing a senior level candidate with 9-10+ years of experience and having
proficiency with the REST application, not just working knowledge of it.
This candidate has to be able to teach this application to other members on
the team. This candidate will also be working with Senior level personnel
such as architects, senior developers with 15+ years of experience.

Expected duration is 3-6 months (with more than likely extension beyond)
Level of experience is senior level*
Skills needed:
• RESTful API design and development (JSON, XML, API design, scalability,
versioning, HATEOAS)
• Experience with solutions such as: WS-*, Apache CXF, Apache Axis, JAX-WS,
JAX-RS, Spring WS and Spring MVC
• Authentication and authorization standards such as SAML, OAuth, OAuth2,
OpenID, WS-Federation
• Experience with Oracle (relational concepts, SQL, JDBC, connection
pooling)
• Experience with NoSQL solutions such as: Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra
• Experience with middleware solutions such as WS02, ForgeRock, Apigee
• Knowledge and experience with generational garbage collection, JVM tuning
and memory and performance profiling is a strong plus
• Unix skills (SSH/tunneling, navigating Unix environment, SCP/SFTP to
transfer files)
• Strong knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis Design (OOAD), Service
Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles, design patterns, application and
enterprise integration architectures
• Engineer (design and code) solution in the most clear, concise and
optimal way possible based on time and other constraints; coordinate best
development approach with Architects, Engineers, Database Developers, and
others.
• Understand the layers of connectivity from a service call to the DB,
transaction control, isolation level, etc.; review existing code and
recommend refactoring where applicable
• Ability to analyze business requirements and identify possible gaps,
missing scenarios, etc.
• Ability to research and solve problems on his/her own using Google,
newsgroups, vendor support and other external resources
• Additional skills in these areas will be considered a plus: LTI, SOLR ,
HTTPInvoker, PL/SQL, Maven/ANT, JBoss/Tomcat, CVS/SVN/GIT, JQuery,
HTML/HTML5, CSS, Eclipse IDE, Amazon AWS solutions
