*Position:: Production support/ Weblogic admin*

*Location:: Richardson, TX*

*Duration:: Long term contract  *



*Description    *

·         Understanding of Application Servers (JBOSS, Weblogic, WebSphere)
and Web Servers (Apache, Oracle http server, Sun One, IIS etc).

·         Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within set timeframe.

·         Ensure good health of production environments.

·         SSL Certificate request, renewal and configuration,
troubleshooting issues.

·         Track and monitor progress and health, if applicable at all times
for all the related applications in all the environments

·         Incident and problem management during Production issues

·         Setting up monitoring and alerting tools and configurations for
using best in market tools like Netcool, Introscope, HP BAC and SiteScope.

·         Proactively monitor applications/systems to capture potential
issues (e.g. alerts, performance) before they occur, and troubleshoot if
issues are found in accordance with monitoring/maintenance procedures.

·         Recommend and assist with developing improvements around support
processes, tools, standards and the overall performance and level of
support provided by the Applications Support team.

·         Ensure completeness of root cause for major/critical incidents,
and where possible resolve or provide workarounds, suggestions and
improvements to mitigate future incidents

·         Assist with the development and implementation of business
continuity and service recovery plans and activities.

·         Ensure applications/software environments are fully maintained
with appropriately supported updates, patches and/or service packs in line
with corporate system maintenance policies.

·         Provide assistance to the Applications Development team with
testing and deployment of application/software changes/releases through the
formal change management processes

·         Interact with internal teams and external 3rd party vendors to
trouble shoot and resolve complex problems

·         24x7 Oncall support on rotation



*Required skills:*

·         Monitoring tools – Introscope, SiteScope, BAC, Patrol

·         Troubleshooting environment setup issues

·         Strong JBOSS/WebLogic admin experience a must

·         Excellent RedHat Linux and Unix experience

·         Exposure to JBOSS BRMS , FUSE

·         Very good in communication and release experience

·         SSL certificates installation and troubleshooting

·         Networking understanding (TCP/IP)



*Optional but a big plus:*

•         Shell scripting expertise is essential

•         Exposure to Connect Direct

•         Webserver configuration, reverse proxy (Apache)

•         Change management experience (CVS or SVN)

•         IIS, iplanet configuration and troubleshooting
