for identifying a *Database Administrator *based out *Database
Administrator. *Please let me know your thoughts.



*Position   : Sr. Database Administrator – Looking for a Sr.
Database Admin with experience with MySQL, Mongo DB*

*Location   : Mounds View, MN – Only US Citizen/GC*

*Duration  : 6 months*



*Experience:*

10 years (Principal level)



*Responsibilities:*

•Create and Maintain and Manage High Availability
Databases

•Managing production, Test data bases

•DB redundancy

•DB Query optimization

•DB Performance

•DB fail over

•DB backup and disaster recovery

•Data Migration with DB schema changes (as needed with
new releases)

•DB performance monitoring

•DB monitoring general

•Internal IT liaison



*Skills:*

•*MySQL, Mongo DB* (high availability), *AWS (RDS/EC2*,
availability zones)

· 10+ years relevant experience in two or more of the following
areas:

· Database Administration, RDBMS design and development, and
client/server application.

· High volume, high transaction previous experience essential.

· Experience with On-line, 24x7 operations is essential.

· Experience with Oracle 10G RAC & ASM Administration required
(Solaris & Linux platforms desired)

· Experience with Dataguard (physical and logical standby) is a
must.

· Oracle 9i or 10g certifications strongly preferred.

· Strong knowledge of SQL, and PL/SQL.

· Experience designing and implementing high availability solutions
(RAC).

· Experience with tuning and optimizing database performance (Oracle
9i and/or 10G).

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, System Engineering, or
equivalent experience.

· Works independently as part of a team, including cross functional
teams.

· Interact with IT at all levels.



*Nice-to-have skills: *

· Experience with OLAP technologies desired.

· Teradata

· SQL*Server 2005/2008

· MySQL,

· Informatica

· Microstrategy
