*Responsibilities and Skills Required: *

*RESPONSIBILITIES*

· Write functional and design specifications for management systems.

· Work with Performance monitoring and alarming teams for
specifications, design and development of systems and applications using
SNMP.

· Work with off shore development team.

· Interact with product management, engineering teams, and other
stakeholders as appropriate.

* *

*EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:*

*Required:*

· At least 3 years of experience in a technical lead role.

· At least 5 years of experience working as a senior software
engineer.

· Experience managing offshore development.

· Demonstrated ability to manage software interfaces and other
inter-system dependencies.

· Demonstrated experience with OOA/D/P, UML, design patterns,
frameworks, and tools.

· Excellent communication skills (including presentation, verbal,
and writing).

· Demonstrated ability to work with other tech leads and teams to
resolve problems.

· Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and require minimal
supervision.

· Must have strong knowledge of SNMP v1, v2c and v3

· Must have hands-on experience working with Net-snmp and Syslog-ng

· Strong knowledge of Linux shell scripting

· Experience building JEE applications using RESTful services

· *Desired**:*

· Experience with Network Management Systems such as Netcool, BMC
Petrol, HP Open view, etc

· Experience in XML technologies.

· Experience in IP and networking protocols and architectures.

·

*Contract Delivery Items:*

· Complete specifications for performance monitoring and alarming.

· Re-factor code for performance monitoring and alarming.

· Test the functionality within performance monitoring and alarming.

· Provide detailed documentation and status update on regular basis.
