The beautiful and fragant C. gaskelliana occurs in
the nor-oriental portion of our country, mainly find very near Caripe, a
little and fresh town of the Monagas state, but very wide distributed around

I presume that it is the source that supports the indication of a Colombian distribution in the World Checklist of Monocotyledons Database (RBG, Kew).
