Is there a scientific term for this phenomenon and what other orchids display it?
Dunno about scientific term, but my Hartwegia (perhaps obsolete genus) purpurea does this, blooming repeatedly for years on the same inflorescence.
Doesn't Psychopsis papilio and cousins do this too?
