[Origami] Antelope Valley, CA, USA, Origami Meetings - Reminder for January

2014-01-02 Thread Michila Caldera
There are two meetings each month, for people who want to do
paper-folding, in the Antelope Valley, Mojave Desert, California, USA.

Sat, 04 Jan: The next HiDEF (Hi-Desert Enthusiastic Folders) meeting
will be held on --- Saturday, 04 Jan, from 1-4pm, at the Lancaster
Public Library.

Tue, 07 Jan: The next RUFF (Rosamond Upbeat Folding Fanatics) meeting
will be held on --- Tuesday, 07 Jan, from 5-7pm, at the Rosamond
Public Library.

For the January meetings I will be prepared to teach something
not-too-hard. It will be a surprise (to me, too!)

- A Nice, Not-too-Hard Model, yet to be determined.

- And as always, if someone else wants to teach something or has a
model they want to fold, bring your stuff! I can also teach other
simple and intermediate models as needed.

*   Last Month’s Meeting Report

Again, I’ve run out of time for this. I’ll have to try to get caught
up later. Apologies to those who were looking forward to seeing their
models or photos in the Report!

The Reports (photos of, and information about, the models we fold at
these meetings) can be found on my blog page at:
www.chilagami.blogspot.com.

- I’ve given up on trying to learn Wordpress (for now). I just
can’t seem to make the time for it. So I’m going to put the Oct Nov
reports on Blogspot (eventually) and stick with that for now.

- If anyone wants more info or directions to the library, just
reply to my email address.

[Origami] origami festive stick

2014-01-02 Thread Leyla Torres
Dear friends,

I'm sure many of you are familiar with this traditional fold I just
featured on Origami Spirit. In my blog post, I also wrote some fun and
festive ideas on how to use it. If you have any other ideas on how to
use it I'll be delighted if you mention it to add to the post.

Re: [Origami] Practigami: Neorigami's first printed book

2014-01-02 Thread Gerardo @neorigami.com
In my last message I mentioned I wanted to explore another option,
different from Bubok, for the purchase, printing, and shipping of
Practigami. It would be really useful if I could exchange messages with
someone that has added a book to CreateSpace.

If that's your case, would you please contact me off the list to my email
address gerardo(a)neorigami.com ?

I would be really grateful : )

Just to add: if folded from post-its (with tacky part at the end of the roll)
then you get a good seal, making them even more tamper proof...

Hello,
a friend sent me a greeting e-card and I found out that the 2014 season's
greetings video from Technicolor has an origami theme.
