We, as Roshana Origami group Folded this fractal Sierpinski
pyramid in Dec,2012 to exhibit it in the main hall of 4th National
Origami Contest and Conference in Amir-Kabir Univ. in Tehran.

Whole structure uses about 9000 pieces of paper. Units are designed by
Tomoko Fuse and the structure is designed by my colleague and friend,
Kiumars Sharif.

It took about one week for us (5+1 member) to complete it.

I meant to write a short report in English but I procrastinated. Now
coming this up in the O-List, I hope I finish it in near future.

a polygon with 13 sides?  If you have then please let me know the source.

Robert Geretschlager shows a method for folding a 17 sided polygon. Not
much help with your question, but it might be a lead to other n-gons.
