DEAR FRIENDS OF THE PLANET ORIGAMI! WE AND OUR NUMEROUS FRIENDS FROM THE WORLD ARE GOING TO CELEBRATE THE 15TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ORIGAMI PEACE TREE PROJECT IN 2015. WE ARE HAPPY TO INVITE YOU TO TAKE PART IN THE ORIGAMI PEACE TREE 2015 FESTIVAL. We sincerely hope and believe the World Origami Peace Trees Project will reach the hearts of All of You, the Peaceful People who love Peace and Art and you will support the OPT 2015! The 17th Origami Peace Tree festival is dedicated to the 70th anniversaries of the Second World War End and the Hiroshima and Nagasaki Nuclear tragedy. THE PROJECT GOALS ARE TO BRING THE ART OF ORIGAMI TO AS MANY PEOPLE IN THE WORLD AS POSSIBLE AND TO PROMOTE A PEACEFUL AND BETTER WORLD BY EDUCATING YOUTH AND ADULT THROUGH ART PRACTICED WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION OF ANY KIND AND IN THE PHILANTHROPY SPIRIT, WHICH REQUIRES MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING WITH A SPIRIT OF FRIENDSHIP, SOLIDARITY AND TOLERANCE. Russia, Korea, the USA, Germany, Japan, India, Ukraine, Poland, Brazil, Israel, Romania and Argentina are those twelve countries who already were the OPT festival hosts. About 8000 folders from 60 countries have supported the project idea "Peace through the art of Origami" from 2000.
